Cool, I`ll purchase it if you can manage at least 4/5 on mobi test http://ready.mobi

May I use your script on as many sites I want? I don`t need any reseller rights, but I want to use it on almost all my wapsites.

Guys I know bupkiss about doing dev on a mobi site. I have no idea if it would work or not.

If one of you wants to try it, give me a pm. I will supply the code to you. If it works you buy it, if not, then maybe next time.

I'm thinking that it is the IFRAME support in mobile devices.

HTML:
<div id="googleSearchUnitIframe"></div>

<script type="text/javascript">
   var googleSearchIframeName = 'googleSearchUnitIframe';
   var googleSearchFrameWidth = 500;
   var googleSearchFrameborder = 0 ;
   var googleSearchDomain = 'www.google.com';
</script>
<script type="text/javascript"
         src="http://www.google.com/afsonline/show_afs_search.js"></script>
See the div at the top of the above code box that has an id of 'googleSearchUnitIframe'? The Javascript directly below it loads an iframe in there with the search results.

Many mobile devices (although it is starting to change, slowly) do not have support for Javascript (barring the Iphone) or Iframes. This code includes both.

Ok dokey, that will be a problem then.

I would just assume that if mobiles don't support java, then it is unlikely they would be able to handle ajax scripting?

If so, give this a try
http://thefinger.mobi/

There is another way to do it, but it won't keep them on your site. So I doubt you all would be interested.

Only a few phones support javascript (different from java, mind you), which is the backbone of ajax.

I loaded up that page and nothing. I an guessing by your postthat it makes an ajax call? I am only on my mobile right now so can't view the source on my desktop.

There might be a workaround, but it would involve a serverside etching of data and then writing it to the source like it was static text.

Ok, thanks.

I think I may have a workaround, will post it later. Ironically, I don't think this will work without javascript. Even a server side script is going to need a call to write.

Argh. You would think this would have been simple. Couldn't mobile phones just use java and make my life easier?

Ok, have done all I can with this. For whatever reason, it simply won't work. I have removed frames, checked "<div>", and actually switched to a completely different configuration and base search engine. Unfortunately, I can't get it to work.

Since it won't work on a cell phone, at least not until I beat my head against the wall some more, I will give you all a chance to own the script for a regular website at a discount.

PM me, and you can have the script for $7. If you want all the tld searches, I will sell the package for $35. Build sites, resell them, make money, have fun.
