Mms streams do not work (Please help)

Hi everyone,

Something very strange happend.
I always was able to play mms:// streams...

just now i was at a site and clicked on a mms:// stream...
my laptop stopped working and i had to reboot my machine.

when i did that i went back to the site and the stream did now work.
I went to some other sites and came to know that http:// streams
work but mms:// streams do not.

when i right click the media file and go to error info. :

Windows Media Player cannot play the file because the specified protocol is not supported. If you typed a URL in the Open URL dialog box, try using a different transport protocol (for example, "http:" or "rtsp:").

I went to windows media player --> tools --> options --> network
and the all checkboxes are checked and protocol MMS is there.
( windows media player 10 )

so from the moment my system hanged and had to be rebooted
I can not play mms:// streams anymore...

Can anybody help me? pleaseee
