Just 1 thing though surely it is a bit much putting him on the sex register. Fair enough he was carrying out such a strange sexual act but he was in the privacy of a hotel room. Being on the sex register can have serious implications on his life.

Was he put on the sex offender register to protect future bicycles? Will bike shop owners have to check the register before selling bikes now, to make sure their customer won't have sex with it in their room?
He was in the privacy of his own room, entering because he didn't forbid them is akin to saying the hotel staff are allowed to enter your room when you are asleep and look around because you didn't say "I'm sleeping, go away".

Thats disturbing wierd, but its no reason to register the man as a sex offender and abuse a law designed to protect young children. If it does not hurt any one what you do in private is your business.
