Hi,

I'm trying to get some ideas for good looking minisites and small websites (sites that run from 5-50 pages that are adsense or affiliate driven.)

Has anyone got any examples of sites and styles they like the look of.

Here is one i found:

I'll post a few more later.

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

I think key thing is to keep it simple. For these sorts of sites most people won't visit any more than 2 pages max.

www.hobart.com.au

I found the most common search terms containing Hobart were

"hobart accomodation"
"hobart real estate"
"hobart weather"
"hobart shopping"
"hobart entertainment"

So just made a page with a sentence or two to match each search term. hope that helps!

Am setting something something up for myself, with the eventual view of being able to modify all the various sites from the one source.

An example.
http://www.ebetmaster.com

Have done about 30 so far, all with different feeds and ads.

sorry to say that, but Nod32 is alarming like crazy about some file on that site that is a variant of Win32/statik, a trojan.
Could be a false positive..

One that i recently did is the predict lottery one in my sig. Its very very basic with nothing fancy. The main thing about minisites is that they are filled with UNIQUE and SEO optimized content. This is what will give you the great SERPs. Dont make them to interesting and give them too much info because you want people to leave your site through an ad and/or affiliate link looking for more information.

Plus if you need templates you can type in "Free CSS Templates" in google and find TONS of free templates to use for your sites. I do this often to speed up the site building process.

Been away and just tried it and getting the same message.

The onlt thing I can think of at the moment is the Microsoft affiliate ad in the rotator is trying to download an active x object. The rest of the code is clean.

Will have to review this affiliate asap.

Thanks for the heads up.

Damn.

My blog in my sig is geared towards spotting trends and coming up with mini-sites. Have a look-see.

It is in the ads I am displaying. I am using a link directly to the affiliates site.

Will have to rethink all this and possibly only use images already on site rather than a link.

Thanks again for bringing this to my attention.

It wasn't showing to me as I was accepting the cookies and the active x control.
