[This is a discussion, not a suggestion]
In the "willing to buy" (aka request) forum, I often see people posting "paying $0.10 per domain", or $1 or less. This is sometimes even for .coms, 4 letter and number (various TLDs), and even at times with "must have X months reg left".
I understand entirely users should have choice and freedom to sell and buy, at whatever they choose, but on the other side of the fence the word "exploitation" springs to mind.
Are "all" sellers really considering all they should, regarding their time being valuable etc? Rather than pay around $10 for renewal, they can instead make some money, but 10 cents?
Once you factor in their time
Phew, all that for $0.10? That takes easily around an hour. Are people's hours not worth more than 10 cents? Even at 30 mins if a quick deal, 20 cents an hour?
I know different countries have different economies, but their lower economic requirements do not make the original purchase less than 10 cents, ever. They will still "on average" buy for reg fee or cheaper with discounts. Even $1, but imo regaining 10 cents rather than just letting it drop is not a useful way to spend an hour.
Why sell to someone for $0.10 when there's months of reg left? Personally I'd just hope in that time someone made an offer, and if not let it drop. Or shove it in auction with $1 start. The things you can do in an hour to earn money, or work towards something to earn money.
I'd suggest a minimum WTB per domain of (eg) reg fee for the TLD required (I'm not suggesting it) but I won't suggest that because it's quite unreasonable on the other side of the fence where people might like selling for that price.
I just wondered what others thought. Just a discussion point really.

Once you factor in their time
- Viewing the thread
- PMing the buyer
- Reading buyer PM(s) and replying
- Going to their bank/Paypal to check payment is there
- Going to their registrar, logging in, pushing/transferring the domain
- Replying to the PM to say it's pushed
- Leaving feedback (potentially)
- Updating their spreadsheet etc (potentially)
