Mini-sites and PR

Big G has been very kind to my mini-sites lately. Some of the sites have gained PR3 & 4 in just a few months. I don't do a lot of the 'normal' things like mass directory submissions and such. I hand submit to MSN, big G and scatter links among some PR4 & 5 sites (all mine) which are spidered by someone on a daily basis. Sometimes I include a link in my NP sig and this seems to be the key as all the sites I have listed in the experiment portion of the sig have received PR quickly. According to Awstats there are also a goodly number of referrals from NP.

Not suggesting stuffing large numbers of links in the sigs. I sometimes think I am overdoing it. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed similar results.

I also noticed the Dubai Festival site id # 5 for the words Dubai Festival news. It appears that news is the key because without it the site is not found in the first 200 results.

Is the 'sandbox effect' a thing of the past. I am not seeing it affect my new sites these days.

Just curious if you have tried google analytics?
I like it much better for web stats. Their new beta was released yesterday and it is sweet.

I think if you are going to try to make a few cents in this industry, you gotta be able to disect your stats so you see what works and what doesn't.

If your sites were dropped domains or blogs, the sandbox does not affect it much.

These are all fresh registrations. Only once have I ever bought a previously developed name except a couple that had completed the drop process and available at reg fee.

No, I have not used analytics. Not even sure what it is. I monitor things using Aw Stats and Google URL channels. I also like URL Trends.
