When you think about it, post count is really meaningless.. I've seen posters accumulate tens of thousands of posts over many years and my respect for them has actually decreased, On the other hand, I know of members who make very intelligent posts, posts that I learn and benefit a great deal from, and these are members who usually have the lowest post count.

I'd like to think that when we give congratulatory comments to members for posting, that were giving it for substance as well.

Agreed.. and I rarely pay attention to my post count. Personally, I just post for the fun of it.

(Tho having a high post count has garned me a few triple digit offers for a link in my SIG in past years )

I neither searched for you nor think of you as an "opponent". I've never figured out why people have such a combatative view of forum discussions.

I posted a milestone for you when I noticed you had 100 posts

It was, admittedly, a little snarky but it was meant in jest to poke a little fun at you based on your comment at Johname's 13000 milestone.

I posted that for Johname's benefit, not yours, to make him feel better.. you never know, you may have hurt his feelings and laughter is the best medicine :lol:
