Microwaves DO quit beeping - After about an hour.

Now, for some completely useless information.

You know how the microwave beeps when your food is done cooking? And then it beeps again every few minutes until you open the door to get your food out? Well, have you ever wondered how long that thing would beep if you never came back? Would it beep and remind you every few minutes, forever?

The answer is no, not forever.

The best I can determine, somewhere between 45 minutes and 1 hour, it will stop reminding you that your food is ready. At which point, you can take out the food and throw it away because it's no good anymore.

I discovered this today, because I kept falling asleep while cooking a microwave pizza.

Well, on my microwave, when it's done, it beeps 6 times and that's it, it doesn't "remind you" that your food is in there. I'd come home from school and find food or coffee in there from my parents from the morning...
