Has anyone signed up for Microsoft's office live.
Yesterday I tried to do just that and have had nothing but problems since. I have received 6 responses to my emails to Microsoft regarding the problems and only 1 has any useful information.
The main problem I am having is that the domain registered did not get associated with the account created. This also caused the temporary live id not to be replaced with the proper signed up live id (the process seems to use a long temporary login id while the process is taking place and then assigns 1 based on the email after the sign up process is complete).
I have finally got the login details but now as I have stated to them many times the domain used during sign up process was never registered so the service is worthless.
Instead of helping me 1 support assistant told me to just create a different account All good and well but the Microsoft database shows now that the domain used is registered (when it is not) so is unavailable. Also when you sign up you can't use a previously used credit card (you need a credit card even for a free account).
I think their service is not worth the trouble I have been put through even tho I was signing up for the free 1. I think it is time to just move on.
Oh and in going through this process I have finally decided that yes Internet Explorer is indeed absolutely s**t. It sometimes seems to completely ignore the url you put in the address bar if it is already loading a page. You cant stop it loading and get it to go to the page you want.
