At 6k cost and 6k renewal it's possible that miami.blog could be better. At the same time , if you use google with keywords 'miami blog', miami-blog will always rank higher than miami.blog with the same content. At the end of the day miami.blog has a bigger marketing value.Better name is Miami.Blog
In the appraisal section doesn't have to be only about resale value...it can be about end user value. Some are already accepted by BB so some resale value and possible some end user value, I did pretty well with my .co domains this year so I'm confident that the .co's can ring some xxx value....and 'smokinglabs' has already a good number of views on some marketplaces.MiamiBlog.com would have value. Miami.Blog would likely have some value.
They are both superior options to Miami-Blog.com.
I don't see any resale value.

As far as I know everything on the right side of the . doesn't have value for search engines, so miami.blog will rank higher for 'miami' and not for 'miami blog'. You're right, some of them are already accepted by BB, I just like to know opinions from everybody. My understanding is when .blog ext gets much more recognized , miami dot blog would pass the radio test for keywords miami blog.
When it comes to seo and ranking , if miami-blog dot com has better content / better developed than the other versions, it is entirely possible it can beat them hands down in search listings.
From a development point of view this is still a good name , although from a recall point of view you may have to speak/pronounce it out for people - miami hyphen blog dot com
same for fresno-realestate com
lovecincinnati com is reasonably nice
Last 4 (2 com ) names you could try with brandbucket perhaps ( they are slight modifications for common english words)...
