Hello all been receiving offers for these two above mentioned domains Merchandise was accepted into the last Traffic auction so i take it that it's gonna be worth a bit of money but how much do you think for each one??

If you don't want to hazard a guess at the price maybe you could throw me some development ideas??

Cheers guys

Chris

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
Unstoppable Domains — AI StorefrontUnstoppable Domains — AI Storefront
USD$20000- USD$50000 for merchandise.mobi
USD$300- USD$2000 for merchandising.mobi

My personal opinions for your perusal.

I have merchandiser.mobi and merchandisers.mobi and submitted to moniker auction for an reasonable reserve each and yet to approval under auction list.

I personally like to highlight that it best to let the market decide the value of the name while setting a reasonable reserve for each name. :)

:hi:

I gave you some development ideas in an earlier thread for merchandise.mobi, IMHO ... are you still going to be following up on that route Chris? :gl: :talk:

Humbly, I think the expectations here are FAR too high ... as the owner, I'd be looking for low - mid $Xxx "Quick Sale" for merchandise.mobi and mid - high $Xx for Merchandising.mobi, IMHO. As a caveat, I'd also consider developing first, approaching various End users second, and then these aforementioned Wholesale "Quick Sales", in my view. :talk:
Best of Luck.

I think the response here is TOO LOW and not representative of realistic valuations. One has to actually own and sell generic .mobi names to really understand real going prices. Anyone can "dump" a name for $xx. I think posted appraisals need to consider and include a modest holding time for a name - .mobi or .anything else. The whole world is not a :"Quick Sale".

I think you should take your own advice ... I wrote:

Here is the portion of my original post that was overlooked (all part of the free appraisal and entirely IMHO): B-)

Thank you, onward and upward ... :talk:

Jeff, you always tend to value domains quite low. I think you are definitely wrong about these, JMHO of course.

I would peg merchandise.mobi at low to mid XXXX, and merchandising.mobi at mid to high XXX.

with that advice it's onwards & downwards. lol

yeah fine. develop & approach endusers. if no bites HOLD !

NOT dump at wholesalke prices. Especially quality generics like merchandise.
Also as its developed its value will rise exponentially.

Do you ever admit you're wrong Jeff? :hehe:

Wrong about what?

I never ever said he HAD to sell 'em for the appraisals and opinions that I shared (free of charge, by the way) today! Develop is definitely #1, and then should he decide to sell ... approach End users #2. Lastly, again IMHO, sell for "Quick Sales" at the Wholesale level if you need the immediate cash in the near-term ... these are my humble opinions.
Thank you.

I appreciate your opinion, of course.
We'll definitely know once they're sold at the Wholesale "Quick Sale" level (if in the near-term), of course! ;) :imho:
See you soon, and thanks for understanding.

Merchandise.mobi is a very strong generic..... it's big business so it would be pocket change for a big player even at above $10,000
However it may be possible that merchandising.mobi could prove a winner - it is more specific to what the most likely end-user would be after.... so I wouldn't write this one off either... to the right buyer

Good luck with it.

Cheers for all your comments/appraisals lads, Jeff i know you appraise virtually everything at $0 +/- reg fee so with your appraisals of low - mid $Xxx and $xx i suppose i'm quite chuffed really!! Although if i ever sold the names for that sort of money i'd shoot myself! Or ......well kick myself in the a**!

Cheers guys
