JMO - but if you are posting this name for auction on SEDO, you should at the very minimum disclose the fact that it is a premium name with premium renewals,

If you do not want to disclose how much, that is your perogotive, but at least let the possible unknowledgeable end user know that .tv is different to all other extensions.....and that they should enquire further about the exact cost of the renewal.......

I spoke with huckour and he said Sedo would not return his emails and calls. I think they were waiting to hear from buyer. Sounds wierd to me. He said there was no word quickly enough and he needed funding just about instantly. We all know how long it takes sedo to conclude a transaction. He seemed like he was not going to wait to hear from the high bidder. He has since posted it for sale at DNF. I want to say - I just concluded a transaction from february. - Its June.

Sedo finally informed me that the winning bidder didn't respond to their e-mail or phone calls so they released the domain again for sale.

The bad thing is that during the auction i got a PM message from a German guy who offered me 14000€ to stop the auction. As you all know i couldn't stop the auction and had to wait until it ends. Suddly for me he did't put a bid at last.

I believe that among all this i might be lucky that i didn't sell it at 9000€

This domain in the future i am sure that will worth a lot.... It has the lowest renewal fee from all the medical domains. (see doctor.tv and medical.tv!)

The bad thing is that i needed that cash...

Sorry to hear that, hopefully you end up with a higher sale in the end.
Those non paying bidders are getting a pain the bud, would be time that Sedo tackles this problem before their reputation is seriously harmed (if not already).

I have also send an e-mail to their legal counsel (Mrs Sheri Archidiacono) and i told them that have to change their buyer verification system very soon if the still want be leaders in the domain marketplace.

I also told them to monitor all suspicious auctions (those that you can see that bidder #1 has put 4 bids and etc) if the want to protect the sellers.

Ofcourse i am still waiting for her answer... Maybe i should wait 4-6 months in order the pegeon to transfer my message...

Sedo is one of the many examples where an online business grows too much that cannot control and support its transactions.

Here is the proof.

Ask yourselves a question Guys,

You have a domain that you put on Sedo for auction......it starts off at $1000 and ends up at $15,000.......SOLD!!!!

What is your biggest concern as soon as the auction is over???

Will the buyer pay??

Good auction houses have systems in place that when something goes under the hammer - the seller need not worry about whether the buyer will pay.......imagine that!!

Until Sedo can start performing on their auctions - they are nothing short of a waste of time and money...

Their name and reputation suffer for many reasons, I dont really know where to begin......

its a sad case of a company having the goods to be great in its field, and screwing it up, royally. unfortunatly, there are buyers at sedo- just a plain fact- buyers outside our group- i have a sale right now- $550.00 for a nice info- still hasnt paid- which sucks big time- but other domains have sold with buyers not from here or DNF- so its like our hands are tied-
