I am noticing this more and more...
What do you expect? Flippa has a policy allowing its employees to bid at Flippa auctions, as long as the Seller knows about it. The Buyer can remain clueless about it, and that's okay with Flippa. Here, read question and answer #6: http://tldinvestors.com/2012/11/quick-chat-with-david-slutzkin-ceo-flippa.html
"6) Does Flippa allow employees to bid on auctions ?
“We do allow our staff to bid on auctions as long as the bidders are
clear about this with sellers, however we’re usually so busy working
with Flippa, that our staff of 12 doesn’t have the time to be buying
more sites."
That's some policy, right? Despite apparent BS from one of their employees here about ending such a practice, I believe that policy is still in place. If so, that might help explain lack of results from Flippa. Who in their right mind would want to participate as a Buyer there? I notice Ron Jackson still includes Flippa auction results with no apparent caveat as far as I can see.
Jackson also includes "sales" results from Snapnames, even after this:https://techcrunch.com/2009/11/09/snapnames-gets-hit-with-class-action-suit-over-shill-bidding/
Ron Jackson, what a guy!
