Marketing a Free forum Host

I have a forum host that I am trying to market. I was going to try Adwords but the cost-per-click is too high right now.

Does anyone here have any sugestions, or maybe a demographic that I should try targeting

I find gaming clans, guilds etc. like to use a free forum host before commiting to managing one themselves. You can't really target them easily though I don't think.

If you want to target your ads though, I say give adbrite a try. You can search for a website you want to place your ads on and it should give you good returns if the website is visited a lot and your ad is relevant to their audience
