Why do you say aren't too common?
If the numbers are high, doesn't the domain has more value.
Isn't there a demand for those words that make the value of the domain go up?

avertiser competition on adwords is 'very high', and search volume is high average on google. so that like 13,000 searches a day for 'map of africa' I think. Lots of potential for a developed website and I think that should be taken into account.

Also, I don't know why people don't like .info. for information websites, which mapofafrica could only be, they are perfect.

Yes, they fit the extension perfectly, that's why i also have MapOfCalifornia, MapOfAlaska, MapOfOhio, MapOfVirginia, MapOfArizona, MapOfMichigan,MapOfUnitedStates

I bet they do, but not much, but I don't believe domain value can be based purely on type-ins. if you developed a website with mapofafrica.info, you're pretty likely to rank top 3 in google for 'map of africa' with a bit of work, much less than if you had 12my-1337-africa-map.com.

If it has type ins then great, if not then xx without development

you're right. the adwolrds keyword tool said the advertiser competition is 'very high'. but looks like it's nill. Thanks for pointing that out. I never thought about doing the search and seeing for myself. <--noob

I registered june 27th.

I'm gonna stick with xx even slightly developed. Drop the names... like they are hot.

Well, I wouldn't drop the name, I mean come on whats 99 cents? It would have to be absolutely ridiculous to even think about dropping an info name that has potential for that amount of money.

Simple development is probably the key, get some nice maps of africa, get some stock photos of africa and make a nice site. This is probably the best way to increase its value, although by how much Im not sure.
