rising! Not more than three days since the world's largest casino premiered on the Cotai Strip, its becoming increasingly evident that its not just buildings reaching new heights in Macau. Having hit my $2500 USD reserve, I just set macautravel.info to auction on Sedo. Thank you for your attention and interest.

mjs, that is good news, especially for me as I own macaucheaptravel.com.

Did you feature the name or did a bid just come in on it? Thats good news, especially the high reserve being met. This will be most interesting.

Good luck!

Good luck,

You might have waited for the Moniker Macau auction in November but nevertheless , a good name and it should go higher.

Macau anything is huge and I will be trying a few $'s on the tables of the Venetian and Wynns in 6 weeks time.

Thanks. I had not featured the domain. I believe that the bid, in part, reflects recent trends favoring the ownership of .info Macau related domains over other non-dotcom alternatives. That said, I would expect to see like trends in other alternative extensions in the not too distant future, particularly in dotnet. In the just over two years since I first began investing in the Macau domain market, I've taken notice that .net presents a strong traffic alternative, if not a worthy rival to .com, depending on the domain. Finally, as I've witnessed very favorable traffic trends in recent months among all of my Macau related domains, I think we can all look forward to an increase in the quantity and quality of bids to come.

The weird thing is that Macau and Hong Kong domains are very popular (like Dubai domains as well) while 99% of them uses a gTLD rather than the local ccTLD. Did any Macau domain (I mean a domain using the Macau extention) ever make good money when being sold?

I don't think any have gone on the market .com.mo is for local companies only whilst .mo.cn is the Chinese version.

I am entering 3 in to the "Macau auction" , they may not even get accepted but they are very appropriate:

Blackjack.mo.cn , Baccarat.mo.cn & OnlineCasino.mo.cn , along with a few other Macau/o and China gambling related names related names.

Hi
I tried looking for macautravel.info on Sedo but not listed so I guess the Auction is closed.
Was $2,500 the final and winning bid?
Thank you

i think .mo would be the real target ccTLD... unfortunately you have to be a macau company , which is good for the health of the ccTLD, it should be a nice local niche.

IMO .mo.cn is like .hk.cn. Great idea, but not pratical.

Don't see your logic there Sam.

I recently turned down upper $xxx for Hotel.hk.cn, indicates some sort of market , seems fairly practical to me. :hi:

I bought a Macau domain about a week ago, MacauRestaurants dot info. Hopefully it'll do well as it suits the extention IMO

Yes, I have all my domains parked at Bodis, because I like their design too, plus picture, link and text modification possibilities, and last but not least- 100% revenue share :)

Yes, and how much would hotel.hk go for :kickass: .

I'm not saying they are totally worthless ;). Just worth less.

I also picked up MacaoNews dot info & MacaoInfo dot info. I know that the other spelling is more popular but hopefully this one does well too

Macau is the correct word. That will be used in the future and the other will be removed.
