I just came across this thread and was really surprised at how popular Macau has become for domainers. I hand reged some macau names almost a year ago and parked them with very little success. But now after reading this thread I got quite excited.

Anyone know when Moniker will post whose names are in the Macau casino convention auction?. I am hoping I'm in.

I am guessing at *least* another week, i.e., >= Nov 8. Maybe more, probably not less.

I had a couple of Macau domains that I entered in the Geo auction that made it on today's Geo list... I entered the same name in parallel (with Moniker approval) into the Macau auction. Now I am wondering if I might have been better off just leaving it for the Macau auction, since it has Macau in the name...

I own macaucasino.tv and a few others.

I thought about submitting a few inn and did a post on macau but I concluded Macau is only going go up and why sell at these levels. The values will only go higher I concluded.

Should be interesting to see how gaming .mobi names do..

Of course-Moniker will not be allowing .tv names I am sure. Only .com, net, mobi.

Thats ok-let my .tv names move much higher and early stage. LOL

I just sold in Sedo macaupoker.tv for $600. Your name is better as macau is all about casinos. Actually poker in macau is hardly played. Hope you do good eventually with it.

I am slowly bringing more names to sedo but future sales and etc....For some odd reason I am seeing a nice increase on my .cn names and etc.

If any of you follow casino stocks and macau closely

LVS(las vegas sands) is down 20 points in after hours....Huge short fall in earnings. Wynn went down on there earnings and MGM went down when they announced as well.

I am going keep the macau casino.tv even though I have posted a thread in .tv seeking bids......Feel this will only go up.

You guys have some very nice names-like them very much!

Wish everyone well.......Maybe moniker one day will realize the powers of .tv and video use.....We shall see-there next gaming one I may submit a few.

It is actually a gambling related name auction and just happen to be held in the Venetian Casino in Macau, which may rub off on a few names but don't get over excited.

Yes,

it may be a long while before end Macau names bring big money. It amazes me that so much money is pouring into Macau building boom for casinos, yet the corporations don't see the value of macau names either type in or branding names.

Macau is not much like Vegas regarding poker, it attracts the mainland Chinese mostly and they are into other games when they gamble. Poker is rarely played. The chinese are big gamblers, but only certain games are legal in mainland China, so when they come to Macau they like to play what they are used to.

One thing about Macau, it is not a pipedream. The place is lavish, huge investments have been made and now it has a proven track record with revenues surpassing all of Las Vegas.

So if you have really great Macau names don't let them go cheaply.

there are a few main holders of macau domains with "one or two industry buyers" however overall local interest is negligable at this stage. people really need to understand the local market before they register domains that are a waste of money. :imho:

I know some .info's have sold for good money, but the keyword needs to be gigantic.

So if a person had sex.info, sure they would do good with that. But Macau.info not so much, unless developed.

I think you misread Charleys post.

He was asking if anyone thought Macau info type names were worth anything. To qoute Charley, "What's your opinion on Macau related .info names ?"


He was not asking what Macau.info was worth. That name of course is worth a good deal more than names like macautravel.info

It's all a matter of opinions is it not, I have some cracking Macau names including MacauChina.cn & 澳门中国.com (MacauChina in Chinese) TourismMacao.com etc, again my opinion- and yes Macau.info will go $25K plus. :imho:
