$500 min.

Out of all the triple letter domains sales so far for 2014 only one sold for under $500.

High end - $1500

I have VVVH.com and it went to auction and ended at $1200 but the buyer didn't pay in time.

thanks for the appraisal maxx500
How many possible triple-letter LLLL .COMs are there? Around 1300 according to my calculation.

Yeah 1352 not counting ones where the triple is separated like pfpp.com. Those ones aren't as good. So yeah they are pretty rare and valuable since there are almost half a million llll.com domains.

According to my calculation its 676 (With only repeating letters like your domains, not like pfpp etc).

Eg. Consider there is only 3 letters on alphabet and its A, B, C. These are the possible combinations.
Starting 3 Repeating - AAAA, AAAB, AAAC, BBBA, BBBB, BBBC, CCCA, CCCB, CCCC
Last 3 Repeating - AAAA, ABBB, ACCC, BAAA, BBBB, BCCC, CAAA, CBBB, CCCC

As you can see, 3 domains are duplicated. So the real calculation would be;
33 * 2 โ€“ 3 = 15

So in English alphabet its like this,
2626 * 2 โ€“ 26 = 15 = 1326

Correct me if I'm wrong :)

According to my experience its a collector domain. Hard to find end users. Just rolling from one domainer to another. But LVVV means Letter+Vowel+Vowel+Vowel. So again it attracts fellow domainers. I feel its will sell for Mid XXX to High XXX

You're right BladeMaster, but we're talking about possible triple-letter LLLL (on a single extension, let's assume .COM)
In this case, domains like AAAA, BBBB and CCCC are exceptional because they fit a different criteria and are way more valuable.

So the possible triple-letter combinations on LLLL (on a single extension) is 1300?

Exactly!
The calculation is very simple in this case. It is like calculating a 2 letter domain (consider the repeated letters as one combination only) minus the case where the letters are all the same.
So the calculation is: 25 (one less than the total of letters, to avoid 4 letter repetition) * 26 (the three repeated letters) * 2 (including ABBB and BBBA cases) = 1300
That would be 0.28% of LLLL.com combination :)

I'd suggest you to sell it in a chinese market, they kind of love these domains ;)
