Hi guys!

What do you think about the value of this domain?

Thanks, Nick

Hard to say the value, but it's worth to develop. LowBudgetHotels would be even better for nice hotel site search. Good luck.

I think the same, the plural of hotel would be so much better.

Enduser might be some hotel or hotel chain?

XXX, low end, at best.

Thanks guys!
Well, I agree "hotels" would be better - but better to develop.
My idea is that my name could be interesting to an particular hotel.

It could be, if the domain were mine I'd offer it to people in the field for $50 - $100 to see what happen. But you use the amount you think accurate according your expectations

Because if you don't offer the name, I doubt you be contacted

Good luck

$100.00

The main problem that I see with this domain is the phrase itself. In my view, the term "low" is a value killer. It's simply an awkard sounding phrase in general. I've never heard a budget described as low. "BudgetHotels" would be the gold standard within this specific niche.

Best of luck and may you find the FORCEโ„ข within you!! :hearts:

Edit: Outstanding cash offer dictates new minimum price!

Don't they know it -- BudgetHotels.com is #3 in the SERPs for that phrase and many other related ones. However, the phrase is actually low on the totem pole relative to synonyms.

cheap hotel 5,100
discount hotel 3,240
budget hotel 1,800

Affordable and inexpensive both rate lower than budget, but low budget doesn't even show up on the radar. So it has in essence next to zero search value, take it out of the consideration.

Add to that the fact that travel is such a choked, saturated business, you stand close to zero chance of building a profitable site on it unless you are heavily into the vertical.

If you are not heavily into the vertical, and you go looking for a buyer who is, you will be told all the things wrong with the domain and given a lowball offer. If you try to sell it on the domainer market, you'll get a lowball offer. I honestly think slumdog's offer up there is the best you could hope to get for it.

I would only search on google for "cheap" and not "low budget" hotel.
It doesn't sound good to me.
Low $1xx IMO

Good luck

Would have to say around $0 value

I love an appraisal thread where there's a standing cash offer from one of the appraisers, and subsequent appraisers are still saying "$0"

May I ask an alternative question?

Why would one buy this domain?

Believe it or not, I'm not knocking you buying it. I've bought loads of names like it.

But, if one wants to make some money from domains, it surely can't be with loads of speculative DNs, can it?

I'm way down on P&L with domains, and I accept that the OP's performance will be way better than mine.

But, the only way I can see to make money is to try to buy a corker and then sell it a couple of years later, with may be some dev, and then re-invest in another beauty.

Making a few quid, or losing a few dollars, on speculative purchases won't get anyone rich. Will it?

Not a bad domain btw, but not a goodun either.

Just my 2 shillings.

Good luck with it.

Jay

I'm totally willing to be corrected.

Thanks to all guys who spent time to say something here :)
Well comparing "budget hotel" and "low budget hotel" of course more popular would be the first term, but look guys, people also saying "low budget hotel" - check tripadvisor.com (particular reviews).
I also saw the hotel in Europe where it was written on the building "low budget hotel" ( i can't find this pic right now).
Anyway - all critics are good - but the one thing I can't agree that it has no "zero" value :)
Anyway we'll see how it will be and what would I do with this name :)

1. From historical sales data, 77 domains end with hotel, avg price is 5066, and 118 end with hotels, avg price is 10538, that indicates xxxhotel.com is not bad.
2. In most case, budget = low price, so *low* is redundant, like edomainname
3. *Low* is little bit negative here, for me

Based on above 3 factors, I would like give $160 for it.
