Okay, now I am confused. Did one timeline have to die in order for the original timeline to live on? And the original timeline now 'remembers' the side timeline, so they all 'experienced' everything that occurred on the series? Or, are they all just dead, and they died when the plane crashed? When Jack 'dies' he sees a plane fly across the sky, is his original timeline Jack on that plane?

How come they didn't show everyone in the church?

How come the one dude didn't go in the church, because he was not on the original plane?

I watched the Kimmel show right afterwards and I think he got it about right.

Everybody died.

Those on the island are still in limbo.

This show was more about Jack and the things he needed to do to pass on. You get glimpses into everybody else and they all might have there own things they needed to do, but it revolved around Jack, hence the ending.

He did what he needed to do, met everybody else who did as well in the church. And they moved on.
