I'm currently looking into my VPS options.
I however have a few points and questions to make before you post any offers.
Now, if you were kind enough to read through all of that.. please get back to me with offers.
I appreciate your time and look forward to doing business with you. Thank you :D
I however have a few points and questions to make before you post any offers.
- My budget: up to $20 per month (at a monthly payment rate)
- I have no knowledge of Linux so will need some help - setting up a control panel environment such as Kloxo and maybe some support regarding how to use it on occasions until I'm used to it - and also assistance with any typical issues like website downtime or installing stuff. I have never used a VPS before, so I am also concerned about the idea of "memory" and the system failing because of this usage, etc.
- I have currently got 1 website receiving up to 400 unique visitors daily - this is a "flash game/arcade" website which requires good bandwidth (I have seen up to 300gb in a month but recently has been lower up to about 200gb). I also have some other small sites which have little traffic, with my blog receiving about 100 unique visitors daily. I anticipate my website to become more popular over time.
- What kind of "gauranteed RAM" requirements will I need based off the information I have given for my websites and the use of a web-based control panel such as Kloxo? And, if required, is it possible to upgrade these RAM requirements as my websites become more popular? Same Q applies for bandwidth and disk-space. I'm looking for a company that is able to communicate with me and be flexible with upgrading certain aspects of my plan as needed.
- Downtime history requested... currently my webhost has been down for 7+ days, with no notification or communication options - also unable to even backup my files. I am looking for a webhost will will not do something as terrible as this, obviously.
- I need affordable hosting that is reliable, has high bandwith allowances, at least 3GB disk space (to start off), very low downtime, fast speeds for users to connect, a web host that will provide some basic support and introductory support for me to get the VPS working (first time user, only ever experienced with Windows Operating systems).
- I don't mind if you are fairly new to hosting, so long as you can show some reliability.
- For my previous web hosts, I had a special deal where I place a 88x31 pixel banner on the bottom of all my websites saying something like "Hosting by ABCD" with a link back to the website. In exchange I would receive a discounted rate on hosting and I believe this also builds a good partnership as the better my websites do, the better your hosting company will look and perhaps more interest for it through my websites as they grow. This is totally optional though, I just thought I'd make the offer anyway. (eg size: http://www.iab.net/media/image/88x31.gif)
