I have an idea for a website and would like a script made here is the idea:
user creates a username and password.
Users of the site can either submit a topic to discuss - or discuss the topic for the day.
Every 24 hours whatever topic has the highest amount of votes is chosen to be the topic of the day. Then all registered users can comment on the topic of the day that is chosen.
Topics will stay open for a week, and then they are closed.
I would also like all discussions on the topic to be able to be ranked. So people can read the discussion/argument someone puts and then rank it.
I want all users to be ranked - and their should be two ranking systems
Topic Ranking (their ranking based on how high their topic submissions rank)
Discussion Ranking (their ranking based on how high their discussions are ranked)
On the main page I want:
The topic of the day - a small paragraph from the topic will be shown on the main page but to see all of the topic and all of the comments discussing it you will have to click on the page.
A calendar where you can go look at any topic of the day that has ever been on the site. From the current day to however long the site started.
I also would like the top 50 topics submitted for tomorrows topic of the day (based on their ranking).
Lastly listed on the site I would always like it to list the top 10 topic creators and the top 10 topic discussers.
When the 24 hours is up and the new topic is created for the day - all of the topic of the day submissions can be deleted to save room. The only things that will be saved are the topics of the day and all of the discussion on them. Like I said the topic will be locked after a week for no more discussion.
You should be able to click on a persons name and see anything they have submitted or discussed on. And also see their very small profile which should just be username, Age (based of of birthday they will put in), rankings, the number of topics they submitted that were a daily topic, and links to all the topics they created.
If this isn't making enough sense let me go I will probably write down a more detailed idea and go over it more with someone who thinks they can do the job.
If you could make a custom script for me like this I would appreciate and would like to know your price. I would also like the exclusive rights to the script, no re-selling. I will not be re-selling it, and also you will be given full credit on the site. Lastly, please make sure it is spam-safe I don't want bots clogging it up. Also I may need, down the road, be able to pay you more to add more or change things. Just throwing that out there - may even hire you again for other side projects. I don't have the most money in the world right now so let me know what you willing to do this for. Thanks.
Oh - one more thing. Once I get someone who will be able to do this project I will be making a photshop image would like you to be able to encorporate the script into it and make the template for it. Let me know ASAP really looking forward to this project. I am also a graphic designer so perhaps you could use me for some of your projects.
