I am in need of a remotely hosted chat for my site preferably with some type of admin panel. Let me know if you have anything to offer. Thanks!

Hello,

Often, hosts have within their control panels (if they use cPanel) a script for chatting, and IRC chatting (see the hosts Terms of Service) and are usually included with all their hosting plans.

For us, Virpus Hosting plans start at $3.75/mo ($45/yr) and we use cPanel as well as Fantastico. We could setup some DNS configurations based on how you want it done, and get you squared away.

Please feel free to e-mail us at [email protected] if you are interested, or just PM me.

Do you have any special requirements? Like shell access to run background processes, JSP support, etc.?

All I want is to be able to run a chat room similar to the one here at NP which uses Real Chat. It has a server module so I would need storage space and bandwith for that. I wouldn't think that it would take up much space and the bandwidth would depend on the traffic flow. I guess I am just looking for a ball park figure on what it would cost to run something like this.

The forum here requires you to purchase a licsnse. There are others that are very useable and would be usefull for your needs. chat can be avail. also.
Both of these are usually found if the host has fantasico. A few clicks and it is installed. If you host doesnt have it you can still download it.
I would like to host your site and will work with you as you grow.
Please visit www.1tb.net for the packages I offer.
