There was a really interesting article published on SEL a couple of days ago. It was also mentioned today on The Domains, SearchEngineLand.com: Coming Soon Paid Search Without Keywords | The Domains

Search engine queries are becoming more and more long-tail. A report from Hitwise, mentioned on SEL, Coming Soon: Paid Search Without Keywords, says:
"The length of search queries has increased over the past year. Longer search queries, averaging searches of 5+ words in length, have increased 10 percent comparing January 2009 to January 2008."
SEJ says:
"20%-25% of Google search queries in the last 6 months were new queries."

As a domainer and mini/micro site developer I find this very interesting, as there are heaps of domains still available to register in basically every niche.
