Logos and typography

I was curious what you all do here when you create logos that are basically just the name of the company, as text. Do you ever just use a run-of-the-mill font, or do you ever tweak the outlines or something to make it more unique?

How do you go about working with typeface in logos?

i usually go and find a cool font first i prolly have a couple hundred on my computer by now but then i add some effects maybe draw an object in there but text is prolly wat i consider the most important u want to tweak it just right to meet your standards and the standards of who u are making the logo for
