Logo wanted

Hi all i am trying my best to get my new linux gaming website up to speed and it really needs a good looking logo:
Gaming On Linux - Open source, commercial, indie gaming on Linux

Will offer $10 via paypal to whoever can do me a good linux gaming logo for that site, simple as.

Needs same background colour as the current header, size not much of an issue.

Also it HAS to be done in GIMP, as i will want to tinker with it in future and i cannot afford (and won't pirate) photoshop.

Payment will be delivered tomorrow just so you know (my payday then),

Cant "create" logos in Gimp/Ps

Only in apps with vector environment as: Illustrator, Corel, Freehand

Also, Liam, GIMP can import things from Adobe Photoshop. This logo was done in InkScape, which is free anyway, but just for future reference, GIMP can import and export PSDs.

While that doesn't look bad at all i would prefer without a distro specific logo as it is not a distro specific website.

I know GIMP can import them, but they never work properly for me.

I can revert it to a black dot, or I can make it the penguin, which tends to be more general.

Are the games for GNOME, or KDE?

It is not desktop specific either, i plan to have games listed for all environments .

A pengiun would be better i would think. Or even something fancy you can come up with i can use as an actual logo

Looks much better with the pengiun, if you can make something else that is unique then that would be even better but i do like where you are going with it. Not too sure about the colouring and writing for GOL though.

I'm even less sure about this one, but I recolored some things and outlined a somewhat generic logo.

The text does look a lot friendlier i like the text more.

I prefer the pengiun to the GL though still.

Went with a darker shade of blue. Tell me if you like the lighter better.

Think i prefer the lighter one as it matches the dice colouring more.

Done. That leaves colour of spots on dice, and whether to keep the outline on it.

This is how the dice looks without the line, and how the GOL looks with black outline instead of white glow:
