Logo Wanted for Racing Site, $50

I need a logo done for an upcoming site. I am looking for something clean, simple, and scalable.

Main Text: Examp (or Examp.com) Racing (or Sim Racing)
Just so there's "Examp" and "Racing" I'll be happy. :hehe:

Do what you want, in terms of design. I'd like there to be some kind of "racing" element so that anyone looking at the logo can instantly tell what it's for. At the same time, I want it to be very professional, simple, scalable, and clean-looking. I'd like the number of colors kept to a minimum if possible, as the logo will be used on merchandise and printed objects.

I'll choose whichever design fits my vision best. I'll know it when I see it. :hehe:
I pay via PayPal.

Time isn't an issue, either. This isn't a major, pressing project; I'd just like to have something when I get around to make the site, even if it takes a couple of months.

NabZ, that's pretty cool. It's clean, but it's kind of plain in my opinion.

I'd really like for "Examp" to be brought out a lot more, while racing is like a subtitle. Don't be afraid to mess around with the letters or even incorporate a letter into a racing element (for example, see the V in the logo at http://www.vidane.com/).

Netx -- I still can't see your logo.

Amma -- I really like that; that's close to what I'm going for. Is there any way we can make something in the background that makes it look related to racing -- a tachometer/speedometer (without numbers), perhaps? Is that what you're trying to go with in the "X"? I like where that's going.

PAJODA -- Thanks, but that's not really the approach I'm taking with the logo.

Moreilly, that's nice. I think it looks like more of a website header than a logo. :imho:

I'd really like to have a logo with a flat, simple design that can be enhanced for the Web, yet be black and white (or close to it) for printed materials and merchandise.

Some great submissions so far -- thanks! I'm not 100% sold on one yet, but that doesn't mean slight changes can't be made.

Netx, that's cool, but is there any way to make the tach part of the logo, making it a little more original?

I found a really nice logo somewhere the other day which was very close to what I was expecting. If I find it, I'll post it.

Ideally, here's the layout/form I had in mind.

Obviously, I want it refined and nice-looking. Not with the fonts/choppiness I used in this image I created for layout purposes.

Ideally, I'd like Examp to appear as the largest element in the logo, in black or white. Racing would appear underneath, with a nicely styled, sharp-looking tach off the right side of the logo, perhaps meshing with a letter or element in the logo.

Of course, you can still try to impress me with your other creative concepts and change my mind; that's just what I was ideally looking for.
