Just so that everyone is updated, our studio did create a vector based logo for him. When the time came for him to pay, he backed out, putting the blame on us "taking too long and not following his wishes". Indeed, it took less than a week, and through every step, as we do with every customer, ensured that we kept on track of what he wanted.

I recommend that people stay away from people like this! >:( :o

I may not be an active member here at namepros but anyone that have dealt with me knows I do not "backed out". I have all the "conversations" in my gmail and to save yourself the embarrassment as a "professional", I suggest you leave this as it is...

Oh, no problem, I'd love if you show the conversations our designers had with you. We have nothing to hide about it Tok, and in fact, take pride in our work and customer satisfaction. That's the reason we have a ten-member staff ensuring that customers orders are both upheld and quality is ensured.

However, your decision to suddenly turn the logo down when we completed it in a reasonable timeframe (NONE was set by you initially anyway), is quite unprofessional and not a practice that our company takes for fun, when hardworked hours and many designs created for you to be satisfied. In fact, we created over 5 types, just becuase every time you wanted to change something, and even when we did, you said we didn't follow your instructions which is quite odd.

Logo Product we Made:
cxsh_logo.jpg

And if I'm not mistaken, we even emailed you asking what's the problem, after we clearly showed that we upheld your requests. That's why we brought up this matter since we believe we exceeded our standards working on the project, yet kept the cost to a minimum and offered you a rebate. And we kept our cool and only had professional conversations with you to nicely solve the problem.

:!: Designing doesn't come for free, and each hour we spend means ony quality work is done. And when we see it's wasted time + money doing a request without explanation as to why the client was unsatisfied, it only shows signs of bad faith on your part. PM'ing you or emailing you doesn't solve the problem either.

And we have a proven track record of over 30 customers satisfied, thus our reputation can only speak for itself.

Consider me your 31st unsatisfied "customer" then.

However, your decision to suddenly turn the logo down when we completed it in a reasonable timeframe (NONE was set by you initially anyway),
You asked for $20 and said you get it done 2 days. You came back Nov 13 and asked for $32 despite not fulfilling my requests. In between you "disappeared" for 2 days and I had to email you asking if the project was still on.. You came back with "Hi Tok, Yup, just very bit busy with many requests at the same time :Is Tuesday/Wednesday as a deadline okay?" Then you came back 4 days later with "Congratulations...As promised, your logo is done..."
ADHERENCE TO SCHEDULE: -10
PROFESSIONALISM: -10

Take a look closely again at MY LOGO and then take a look at YOUR LOGO and tell me the difference...
sample4.jpg

Did you personally vet through or you just leave it to one of your "10 merry men"? Apart from asking you to change the fonts (provided by me), the rest were merely "copying" which you guys can't even do it. The color, spacing and alignment were being told to you at least 3 times but you still came back with the same logo without changing the colors, spacing and alignment. At my expense, you said I asked for Revisons and Modifications..It was merely asking you to do it right from the beginning! The funny part is as a Professional, you still wonder why your client is unsatisfied..???
Ability to Follow Instructions: -10

You too have wasted my time...and its really unnecessary for Clients to "explain" why he is unsatisfied..it only goes to waste more time and money..

Tok..
ps: Thanks for the trader's rating.. I will not update negative feedback to yours if you'd promise me to take this incident as a wake-up call to your level of Service and Professionalism.

Please take a look at the attached and also I would require a more
proper layout..

Part of Our Reply:

Once we're done, you can tell us what additional changes to
the logo you want done (we'll try and make small visual changes that are
appropriate as well
, during the first process)

The cost for this project is: $20. If there is more work needed after
conversion and basic revamping, we'll let you know our nominal fees
.

First Modifications Requested:

Some minor changes.
Color:
=====
1. Logo- use the green color of the US Dollar Green.
2. Do not "Bold" the Tagline. As "subtle" as possibe but visible.
Silver Grey kidd of thing.
3. "INVESTMENTS" same dark color as Logo and "CXSH" same as logo's green.
Fonts:
====
1. Use the fonts attached for "CXSH" and "Vendana" for the Tagline.
2. Use CAPS for "CXSH INVESTMENTS"
Spacing:
======
1. The space of the logo labelled "1" and "2" not equal. Space "1" is
okay. Just adjust "2"
2. The "CXSH Investments" must be "inside the logo" (within the red
Arrows) and the tagline to space out equally within "CXSH INVESTMENTS"

I don't see the line where you mention you wanted the new effects we put in removed, nor expressed any sort of "major" problem with our design. If you wanted an exact copy, why didn't you say it clearly without asking for a more "proper layout".

======

Hello Tok,

We sincrely would like to apologize if we did not adhere to your
expectations. The project was started just last week, and as you requested
changes during the process, it required us to modify your project
frequently. The projected was requested by you on Nov 4, and we finished
all changes during that time by Nov 12 (8 days).

We have not had any customer in the past unstatisfied with their order.
Our Quality Assurance team did look now at the previous correspondence we
had with you:
-----------------------------------------------
Second Set of Adjustments
Color:
=====
1. The Green is still too "bright". UseRGB 51-102-0 Hex #336600
2. "CXSH" same as logo's green.

Fonts:
====
Sorry. Vendana looks weird here. "Advante-Garde" for the Tagline.
Spacing:
======
2. The "CXSH Investments" still not "inside the logo".

Our Reply:

Our Quality Assurance Team reviewed the above and judged the following
responses:

Color:
=====
1 & 2) We changed the green in both the middle part and text to RGB 51-102-0. If there is a color discrepency, it is due to the vector editor's way of handling colors.
Fonts:
====
1) AvanteGarde font was used for the slogan as requested
Spacing:
======
2) CXSH Investments was moved as close as possible to the edge of the
logo. If we moved it any higher, the resolution of the text was noticed to
be less, due to the behaviour of vector images. It was placed as close as
possible while ensuring the quality of the art.

I rest my case. Let is be known that if he actually wanted to be clear and communicated that he didn't want any modifications to the original look of the logo, that's a different story. We did NOT look at the original logo for consistency, as this was assumed to be a NEW project. As stated above, we did comply to all your requests. And thus, due to so many back and forth changes, we did warn about the nominal fees in the beginning, and they were applied to the final project.

And correction: you're the FIRST unsatisfied customer we had, out of the now 31 clients we had so far within 2 months. We now understand that out of our clean record, there has to be some kind of unusual customer that comes along eventually, which turns out to be you, in this case. %%-

Ok..You, the Company, is right and I, the Client, is wrong...because I did not spell clearly what I had wanted in the first place..I just went through circles, wasting my own time and in the process frustrate myself and in the end, still did not get my logo...

PolurNET, I am in the Foreign exchange business where I BUY & SELL currencies on behalf of my Clients often via the telephone.. I had Bought some currencies for a Client because he said "Bye" and I "assumed" he wanted to "BUY" and almost immediately, the market went against him losing $30,000 in less than a minute. When he expressed disatisfaction and wanted to call off the deal, I am sour and I am blamed my client for not being "clear". He should have just spelt "B-Y-E" instead...I told him.

You dont "assume" what a client wants..you make sure!

And correction: you're the FIRST unsatisfied customer we had, out of the now 31 clients we had so far within 2 months. We now understand that out of our clean record, there has to be some kind of unusual customer that comes along eventually
Going through such lengths to "explain" you are right and telling the world about your clean record tells me nothing except to cover your inefficiency and the amount of Professionalism you possess... You could have used this time to sit down with your Designers and really try to figure out why a dissatisfied Client.. Expect more "disatisfied" and "unusual" clients as your business grows. Getting satisfied clients is easy, you just do your job but nothing beats turning around a disatisfied Client happy and satisfied and unless you do it, you'll just be another graphics company...

Goodluck..

Hello Tok,

Okay, I admit that we were quite taken by surprise when you stated that the project was off, especially after we thought we followed all possible guidelines you mentioned. However, if there was a misunderstanding, it probably should have been asked by us first, but as nothing was said specifically to the changes we did to the original logo, it seemed safe to assume such a change is okay (and you did state minor changes...).

But even after we contacted you to ask why, we only received a response after this NP thread was updated. So, now, we can see more clearly what your expectations were, and how we handled it to the best of our abilities. Nevertheless, you are right in stating that we will take this matter into consideration to make sure no further mistakes like this happen or misunderstandings.

Anyway, I hope these hard feelings eventually wear off, as we spent a good deal of time on this, which translated to the anger in the last few posts above, on my part. Thanks for the explanations now.

Cheers,
Anand A.
