Hello.

What kind of file i should give to "printing shop"(hopefully correct word) for professional printing. (Business cards)
I have read that it must be vector file, so i think it should be EPS?
Or are some useing tif files too? Or what format is most usual for proffesional printing? :td:

typically printers use PSD, EPS, or PDF

It depends on what print shop you go to. Each one will prefer a different format. Find a shop and ask them what file type they prefer.

Thank You, i made eps file.

And one more question....

If i make logo to someone, but font license does not allow to give him font file (unless he buys font) and if i convert font to paths in freehand, can i somehow do so, that he can not edit that "vector font text" also? (Could edit vector logo without can edit "vector font text".)

It is no big problem, but maybe it is better if people who do not have font license, can not edit logo font. At this time they can still "edit" text like usual vector drawing.

But i think it is impossible to protect from this thing...

from what I remember, you have to create an Outline for the text. Like I said, if I can remember you can Hightlight the text, and then press Ctrl Alt o to outline it in AI. Hope this helps.

I have readed and tested different things now and want to ask some questions to be sure that i understand it right.

I now made tif file.
I readed that it is used in high-resolution printing.

Is it normal, when i make a tif file and open it with windows viewer, then my logo is with other colors than it used to be?

And when i open tif file in freeahnd or in illustrator, then it looks "not good".
Is it becouse tiff file is not vector and it is raster file? becouse it looks bad in freehand and in illustrator?

Have somebody sent tif file to print shop or have printed him/herself from tif file? How it looks?
Different print shops maybe accept different files, but what are most common files they want?

Thank You for helping.

:)
