I'm looking for a logo for my new football/soccer site slidingtackle.com

I will pay $70 to the winning designer. I would prefer lighter colours, im thinking green, blue etc. I have seen some of the previous attempts, particularly in crazyd's thread and i must say they were excellent. I hope for the same quality in this thread and i look forward to seeing your designs.

Payment will be made to the winning designer via paypal. The closing date is 17th June 12 noon UK TIME.

I of course reserve the right to refuse all entries if i consider them unsuitable.

Yeh, that is right. I'm not sure if this is to complicated? But i was just wondering if it would look like and if it would be to much or look just right.

Well i dont think it would be possible in JPG so i made a simple gif. if i am not too late for the competition that is, i only found about this site last night, so i hope i am still in the race, if logos u (yoda style talk) like let me know i can edit the color of backgrounds and stuff (size) that is no problem but here is what worked on I :-

By the Way that is the what my site will look like if u go to the parent folder that animation on main page was my first these 2 are my second and third creations.
OH dont worry about the size size can be fixed according to the preset standard only after if they win some place :D As i couldnt find the preset size limit of the logos so made little big as shirinking logos is easy but exploding them is not.

Even if i dont win anything i hope someone can offer me some freaking webspace just today morning my site went down.
By the Way the money is real cash or the points thing here on the forums?

Lol, i dont know what to say about that. First of all im looking for a logo not a flash header/intro, plus i am already quite proficient at flash. Second, i wish some people would read through everything in this thread before asking questions, i have clearly indicated throughout that i am paying $70 for what i consider to be the best entry. Therefore money is in cash not $np's. Third, do u want webspace? Please post this in another forum/thread. Fourth, i have been unable to understand a lot of what you wrote, so if i have misinterpretated anything then please re-post. Fifth, i'm aware of copyright law. Thanks for the post, please re-post with something closer to what i'm looking for if you wish.

lol sorry dude, should have replied to you first. Yeah, i feel it is now starting to look more like a graphic than a logo, i still like the figure within the circle, however i feel that there is no cohesion between that and the text. I'm not sure what the next step is, but i would like to see a revised entry.

No problem.

1. Not to be a smart ar*e again, but there are logos posted all over this thread, however you are new, so dont worry about it.
2. No Animations
3. Prefer vectors so that i can resize the logo without losing quality
4. Animation is too bad, with respect i could create the same in about 5 minutes.
5. No worries bout web hosting, you are new so all is forgiven. I look forward to seeing your entry.

Mass Feedback:

l0zo: Lol, i dont think these are as good as your original attempt, i dont feel that the figure looks realistic. Plus since i suggested to petter that i wanted a sliding figure, everyone seems to be entering this with IMO little success. Please feel free to re-submit, and you never know you could be posting about Adriano underneath your own logo!

paaaaaaaaa: I do like the text style of the top one, however i do not like the bottom two. I also do not feel that one figure sliding provides an accurate depiction of "soccer". I feel you can progress, so please submit another entry if you wish.

One Armed Scissor: These unfortunately will still not break into the leader board as they are just a modification of your previous design. As much as i do like that design (as you will know it was in first place for a while) i feel there are now entries more suitable in terms of what im looking for.

Competition ends the 17th, payment will be made as soon as. Could all those who are entering the competition without a premier account please notify me as we will have to seek an alternative payment method than paypal. However it is very simple to upgrade to a premier account and it will provide you with more benefits, plus its free.
