I'm looking for a logo for my new football/soccer site slidingtackle.com

I will pay $70 to the winning designer. I would prefer lighter colours, im thinking green, blue etc. I have seen some of the previous attempts, particularly in crazyd's thread and i must say they were excellent. I hope for the same quality in this thread and i look forward to seeing your designs.

Payment will be made to the winning designer via paypal. The closing date is 17th June 12 noon UK TIME.

I of course reserve the right to refuse all entries if i consider them unsuitable.

Prizes:

Hi everyone, i apologise for my feedback being late but ive been doing some indoor climbing!

We have a new first place as you will notice below, but it as close as ever.

teddy7: I dont think your designs are up to the standard of the those in the leader board. Please feel free to resubmit and thank you for your entry.

steadler: yeh i still like the circle with the figure inside but i still do not like the accompanying text. I would suggest and alteration.

will7: Ok im gonna get technical here. To be honest i did prefer your last one, post no .78. If you could make it so that the tail of the bottom swoosh goes behind the T and the tail of the top swoosh goes in front of the G?!!!??!
If you find this hard to understand (i wouldn't blame you) then please pm me and i will try to elaborate.

l0zo: lol, final logo, you know i like this.

cubechris: I do like this logo. The only problem i envisage will be its size, particularly the two figures. If you could also lose the fade on the left hand side of the text, i think that would be an improvement. I also like you use of the picture.

Petter: i love this one. very good design. In fact leave it completely the way it is, except for one minor alteration. Could you possibly create a person (the same size as the current figure) sliding in for the ball? Look forward to seeing if you can pull this off.

One Armed: yep still like this as well, i also like the alterations you have made. I do not think this logo can be improved upon for what it is.

Our Portfolio: Thanks for the revision Danny, however i still do not feel that the ball looks realistic. If you wish then please try and make further alterations.

I was just kinda wondering if I was headed in the right direction and what could be added to improve the Logo, but I guess that is what everyone here is also after. So, again, sorry ...

No hard feelings, forget about it. If you refer back to my last feedback you will see that i mentioned that feedback will be posted as soon as i see the design from now on. I feel it is an improvement, going in the right direction. The football looks better, however i am not happy with the font still. Please try again if you wish.

Very nice, but I think what he was looking for was maybe replacing the current man that you had for one that was sliding for the ball. IMHO, this would look better is the're weren't two guys, it looks sorta of wierd. Just a tip.

Would it be possible to have the player sliding in from the front and making it look as though he is about to get to the ball and if possible also below the text (getting technical!), as tackling from behind leads to a red card in "soccer"! Thanks. I just want to test what this concept will look like, am not sure how it will turn out.

So, you want to look at one where there is only one person sliding for the ball and one were the guy is shooting and the person who's tackling is tackling from the front? :red:

Yeh, that is right. I'm not sure if this is to complicated? But i was just wondering if it would look like and if it would be to much or look just right.

Here's a shot at it. The man sliding was impossible to put anywhere else the a little over the ".com", but that's the best of could do with two people dualing ~ looks pretty nice IMO - let me know your opinion
