andl.net went to buydomains.

mmvm.net went to gofrancedomains

farh.net went to buydomains.

I only have 2 more on my list and one is iito.net.

bclb.net went to dynadot. - looks like me.

buydomains got iito.net so I have nothing else on my list.

I ended up with 3, going to consider myself lucky today.

I don't think the buyout will be anytime soon.

On small drop days it will always be tough. BuyDomains and Dan Rubin are 2 big chasers. Then you have small fries like us here. I have 3 scripts so I have a slight advantage over a guy with only 1.

But just see the pages few days back and there were ppl who were posting Quads available and then we were able to pick them up... In the meanwhile there were no one picking them up...

But the situation is diff, there is no time even for you guys with Script to say them available. Even before you ppl come to know, BigFishes are catching them up.... ? Am i correct in saying this??

There will always be a market for quads I think, the part that may never sell out though is the junk letters.

Also I took off about a month from chasing, might be why some were called out as available. Oh yeah and I only chase certain hours, Glabnet as the ability to chase 24/7 and doesn't pickup everything he sees. :D

Oh where is Gladnet today btw??

I would say quads are becoming harder and harder to get. However, I do not think the buyout will happen for some time. I only have one script and hand reg'ing has actually been working better for me than my script has. I didn't get any today but I think I could have taken pghf from Jason before his script got around to it

Oh well, tomorrow is a new day :)

Possibly, my script was setup with 16 domains forward and reverse, so each domain takes 1 second. 16 seconds to run a full cycle but with 2 scripts running on it the max time from available to reg would have been 8 seconds. Of course depending on where in the cycle it was, it could of been 1 second, lol.

By the way, if anyone wants me to chase some non 4l.nets I could do it for a commission. You just provide me what you want to catch and I will try.

Dynadot API accept multiple domains query, takes less time, than doing it per domain name.

I'm wondering how your script can query 16 domains constantly without getting banned. Even if I try to run 5 names constantly I will get banned..So I have to leave it to only try like once per minute

It doesn't, it cycles through, 1 at a time. If Dynadot gets 2 hits at the same time it will ban the account for 10 minutes. This is why having more scripts is better. 1 list of 16 would take 16 seconds or so to run through. Each time I add a script it cuts it in half.

If I had a ton of money I would have like 20 scripts which means 20 Dynadot API's which means 20 accounts of at least $500 in them. Plus the accounts have to have $500 in them for 365 days meaning every year another $500 or I would lose the API. :(

what I mean, you can check more than 1 domain in 1 query, by using domain0=domain1.com&domain1=domain2.com ...then check the result which domains is drop.
if you have lots of domains in your list to catch, it might shorten the check time by few miliseconds..which is very helpful if you have long list of domains to catch

btw, anyone ever try namecheap API ? is it fast? I think dynadot API kinda slow compare to few months ago, when less people were using it...

Wikes, have you designed a web based script that works like this? My script doesn't check availability first.

If you check who is catching what, Moniker seems to be the best available but it's hard to get the API.

.

yes, but not a web based though, it's a Linux CLI PHP script... must be run through Linux shell account...if you interested, I can send you a copy tonight, when I got home...
