Hey guys,

I offered buydomains to buy JBEF.com and they offered $30. I replied back saying the offer not good enough and now they are asking how much.

How much you rate JBEF.com?

Thanks
gezzle

I am surprised you even got a $30 offer out of BuyDomains for a triple premium LLLL.com, normally an offer like this is reserved for a triple premium LLL.com ;)

I'd say it's worth about $60, just take a look at these similar sales:

jbdt.com $66.00 07/20/2008 SnapNames
jbba.com $170.00 07/14/2008 NameJet
jbba.com $170.00 07/12/2008 NameJet
jbbj.com $314.00 07/01/2008 Sedo

BuyDomains.com is not known for making reasonable offers. However in this case their offer is reasonable. But I think you could do better with a Triple Premium + J.

They do not want it seriously but they want it because it`s commercially a good opportunity since they know they can re-sell these 4 letters domains later at prices in the 3 or 4 figures range.

They do not mind renewing them because they are confident that soon or later some end user will offer them much more than what they offer you.

It`s up to you: if you need money so badly, take $50 - $100 for it, if you don`t need money urgently, then you may as well wait yourself like may smart investors are doing. BuyDomains is just one big company of this game.

Lorenzo is right about playing the waiting game :)

I agree.

If you want I'll take it out of your hand for that price.

i would say, just negotiate with them, until they pass on.........

and then simply again offer back the price plus $5 to $10 at which you both were initially agreed.

I have done this several times..

Interesting, and how higher did you get to sell compared to their initial offer and on which kind of domains?

Jbef

If you don't intend to sell it and you are going to play the waiting game (like I am), quote them a price that you really want. Tell them $300 - $500. If you are not going to sell it, it isn't going to hurt you to be unreasonable. Who knows, maybe they already have a buyer. Maybe they really, really want that domain. If you need the money, however, that's a different situation.

It's not worth going back and forth negotiating for $5 or $10
