I scanned using uniregistry but it seems your right they are incorrectly showing some domains as registered when in fact you can regged them. This is a bit scarry as I've used them in the past for bulk lookups and assumed the data was accurate.. hrmm..

If you are interested in .ch domains, I would recommend you consider NameCheap. We have already discussed this in another thread, but Namecheap has a really smooth push for .ch. I think others might have a waiting period or something. NameCheap is like any other domain pretty much.

Can you please run me through the push process with NameCheap. I have pushed a .ch domain from one Marcaria account to another and that cost me $20. Same thing over at GoDaddy as well. $20 charge to push .ch domain from one account to another. I believe the reason for this is because they have to manually transfer .ch domains.

Has put me off .ch ever since.
BTW - This is my first post, but really nice site!

Did you get an extra year of renewal with the push cost?

No. I sold the domain and was transferring it to the buyer. That's how much it cost me to push the domain. The buyer was the one who told me GD had the same policy regarding the fee to push their .ch domains.

So I'm wondering what NameCheap's process is regarding pushing domains to another account. If there's no hassles or fees to push I might be tempted to buying some more .ch domains.

Hello Service11 and welcome to NP!

Yes it's ridiculous how you have to pay for a transfer/push from GD to GD account. But when I spoke to the people there, they told me that the transfer fee also added a year worth of renewal to the domain. Just wondering when you did your .CH transaction because I spoke to GD in mid January about this and maybe things have changed?

Either way, transfer fee's won't stop domainers from buying a domain, just makes it a bit longer to acquire. For example, If someone had a LLL.CO at GD and sold it to someone at NC and the transfer fee was $10-20, take that off the sell price and then the transaction would still move forward. That's what I intend to do when I sell my .CH later this year. If I sell them for $70 and it's $20 to transfer, I'll get the seller to give me $50 and the deal will still go through.
