Hey, I'm pretty new to all this snapnames and pool and such, I was wondering when will they catch a domain?

Also, I thought domains registered by NETWORK SOLUTIONS could only get snapped by SnapNames?

Well today, I put a snap on something, and when I look now it says this domain was registered by Pool.com

Do snapnames tell you if they couldnt get the domain for you?

Thanks

This may be a little off-topic, but when you pay to "snatch" a name and you do not get it do you lose your money or does it just go as a future credit with that company? Also, I was reading somewhere if you pay to "snatch" the name and it is caught and it goes to auction your $$ goes towards the bid, but if you lose the auction you lose your money. Is this true?

true, true.

you pay only when you snap the name!
at pools....it goes into an auto auction!

I think I can answer those for you, if you put a snap on and another company gets it you do not pay anything to them.
If they get it and more then one person has put a snap on for it, you will be entered into auction where you bid for the domain, yes the $60 minumum bid goes to bidding for it, but if you do not win the auction, you get your money back (Well you never gave them anything until you win). I'm pretty sure on that.

Nice explanation Matt :tu:

One exception would be Go Daddy, you pay the $18.95 upfront and can keep trying if you're not successful with the first domain until you do catch one.
