I recently built myself a new PC. Unfortunately I forgot to export all of my bookmarks before reformatting my old OS drive. My old bookmarks included a massive list of online marketplaces, brokerages, and the like where one can list their domains and or have them listed to be sold. I'm somewhat new to the world of domains, so I can only recall a handful of them. Therefore the purpose of this thread will be to aggregate a comprehensive list of such places for other beginners like myself or as a reference for anybody interested in selling domains. Simply add a website or link to the thread, and then I'll add it to the list.

    Afternic.com
    Auctions.GoDaddy.com
    BrandBucket.com
    Dan.com
    Ebay.com
    Efty.com
    Epik.com
    Evergreen.com
    Flippa.com/domains
    Namecheap.com
Namejet.com (Is it possible to sell domains here?)
    Namepros.com/marketplace/sell-domains
    Namesilo.com
    Sedo.com
    Qeip.com
    Uniregistry.com/sell-domains

CatchTiger also has a resale marketplace as well. They're more known for catching ccTLDs, but never hurts to give them a try.

You should be able to sell at NameJet, but I don't know the procedures on how to sell on that platform.

It is a good idea for a list and most main places now have been suggested.

A couple of names on list I believe are primarily brokers and handlers of superb private collections (Evergreen, QEIP) and I don't think are places the average person can just go and list a name (someone correct me if I am wrong). If we include brokers there would be dozens and suspect that would be better as a separate list.

I see no issue at all with aggregating marketplaces, brokerages, et cetera in a single list. You'll know what is what once you visit the website. At least one of the websites in that list is not only a marketplace where you can sell but also a brokerage that will sell for you.

If you know any marketplaces, brokerages, or whatever that aren't on the list, please share!

I see that logic, but since most brokers only handle domain names at about $20,000 + value, and only names that selectively they see potential, it seems to me problematic to lump them together with marketplaces where anyone can list anything they want at essentially any price they want.

Lists of both are worthwhile, but having them all together is I think likely to lead to confusion. In the list I compiled some time ago of places to buy and sell domain names (must update it!) I did not even lump the brandable with the others, as they only handle a certain type of name and with a different process. DWS maintains a list of the main domain brokers which he periodically updates.

You state that the goal (which I agree with!) is
I see danger is mixing a broker who only handles $20k+ names with a registrar marketplace where you can list for $5. They simply are not the same thing. If the list is intended for beginners, like you say, some may send queries to brokers on the list, not realizing it is a broker and not a marketplace accepting listings.

Just my opinion. Thanks for your work on this, and sorry about your lost computer bookmarks!

No, you're right. They're not the exact same thing. I'm not saying they are. However, they are the same insofar as it's another avenue from which your domains can be sold. No harm in reaching out to a brokerage and asking whether or not they'd be interested in brokering your domains for you. If they are interested, great. That's one more place from which your domains can be sold. If not, on to the next website in the list.

So then why not just separate the two, a list of sale venues and a list of brokers, and no one then gets confused. That...didn't seem to be too hard to solve....

Nobody is stopping anybody from doing that if that's what they want to do.

Once the list grows a bit more, I'll be compiling everything into a new post.

So you want to make a list, but you don't want to separate what is what. Should be a successful tool for other beginners. :xf.rolleyes:

Well, you actually can't edit posts beyond 30 minutes, which I found out after making the post, so...

But please stay on topic. I don't want to have to needlessly sift through nonsense when I recompile everything.

I AM on topic. You stated you wanted to create a list, yet you want others to separate the sales venues from brokers. You obviously don't know, or don't care, that brokers are not sales venues, and will not let every 'newbie' list anything they want with them. A sales venue will!

Yes, I wanted to create a list. Notice that word is singular and not plural? Lol

"My old bookmarks included a massive list of online marketplaces, brokerages, and the like where one can list their domains and or have them listed to be sold. ... Therefore the purpose of this thread will be to aggregate a comprehensive list of such places..."

    Please learn to read.

No, you're not on topic. You're not posting links, but rather your subjective hogwash. Now please go away, unless you're going to stay on topic.

Again, AM ON TOPIC!! You are wanting to create a 'sales venue' list, yet you are saying it's ok to list brokers with sales venues. It's not!! Since you don't know or care of the difference between a broker and a sales venue, obviously other newbies won't either which will only confuse those newbies, and piss off brokers. So stop justifying your reasoning for your misleading 'list' as that is all it is...misleading. You'll learn the reasoning and difference someday. ....then probably not.

    Great list, thank you ALL
After long time I'm back domaining. This time I will be serious as I have still over 100 domains. They are all at DomainsMeca.com, but I'll be looking for other places to list them as well.
Last time I looked into some domain market places, most of them wanted me to change DNS to there place. I am not sure If they still do that. I am not prepare to that, as I have my own place, and will be redirecting (301) each domain directly to particular landing page.

I think that is true for some of the main brandable places, but not for the general purpose marketplaces like Afternic, Sedo, DAN and the main registrar marketplaces. They may encourage you to use their DNS settings but the choice is yours.

Glad that you have come back to domaining and best wishes moving those 100 names for good prices!

I have not used it personally, but West.xyz would be another registrar marketplace to add.

I know that BrandBucket.com, Brandpa.com, and QEIP.com all require you to point your domain to their nameservers. Dan doesn't. That's all I know so far.

Feel free to contribute to the list. Best of luck.
