Please excuse my ignorance (I'm a noob), but what do you mean by free stockphoto sites? could you elaborate. Do you mean that I can go along to these sites and download the photos for free and use them as content without license or cost?

Yes. Although i think that istockphoto.com requires paid membership for some of there photos.
