.mobi Liquor.mobi auction on Sedo.com

I just accepted a $500 reserve bid on Liquor.mobi and have let it go to auction on Sedo.com. It should be interesting to see how it does with the increased traffic on the Sedo site thanks to the 100 dot.mobi auctions starting on Sep. 26th.

As I mentioned on a previous thread, the ideal buyer for any dot.mobi is the dot.com owner but in this case Liquor.com hasn't been developed... yet. It looks like he has some smart plans for it though.

Jeff, it is an open auction. How do you expect the seller to know who the buyer is at this point? He may never know, except by looking at the whois in a couple of weeks like the rest of us. Sedo does not inform you who your buyer is.

Thanks everyone - we're pretty happy with the last minute bidding frenzy getting it from $550 to $2676. Smart buyers sit on the sidelines until the last minute - keep this in mind with all the current premium dot.mobi auctions. They will go much higher.

Congrats. Actually I thought it would go higher. This is a top tier domain that could possibly be worth high $XX,XXX at some point, or maybe even 6 figures if .mobi really were to take off huge. As I said, lucky buyer to get it so low.
