Hello again...

Not sure what I did wrong...but I created a simple link to a file on my web server. Go to this page & check it out:

http://www.moonjams.com/musiclinks1.htm

In testing the page...when I right -click on the link & choose 'Save Target As'...I get a message that reads:

Internet Explorer cannot download "name of file" from "name of website". Internet Explorer was not able to open this internet site.

I used regular old a href=" coding...I even spelled out the URL prior to the forward slash/file name.

What did I do wrong...is there another type of coding necessary for downloadable type files?

Thanks,

mark4man

Hmm cannot open.. You might have to FTP in or SSH into your site and chmod the file to give people read permissions to it. It might not be readable. The only other thing I can think of, it that you miss spelled the name of the file or used the wrong case FileName instead of filename or vice versa. It could be something else.. but make sure the file is readable to all.
