This is my recent pick-up. I bought it because of it's commercial appeal. Would love to hear what you think about it.

Thanks!

i can see the comercials now. "Get more at Less.com" should be 100k base price

I really like that! Almost sounds familiar, even though I'm pretty sure it's never been used before. Thanks!

.less can be more right NOW!

If I owned less.com, I would do a Direct Public Stock Offering on it now by valuating the company at 4MM and selling off 2MM in stock.

You have capitaized at 50% and extracted a great up front value on your domain.

4 years from now when it is worth 4MM, it is sold. 75% of the sale price is distributed to the stockholders.

You net 1MM + the 2MM you had up front on the initial offering.

I know everyone talks about development, traffic, gathering statistics etc. but all that can be done AFTER you have extracted value for your domain without waiting three years.

it's a very nice domain, can be developed as a discount center for stuff to offer "less" of the actual price.

I think it has a lot of value to the right buyer. I don't think there are a lot of potential buyers since it is generic (not like cars.com or boats.com) but it doesn't take a lot of buyers, just one who really wants it. Wait for the right buyer and you should do well.

How often do startups buy premium domains these days?

Recent trends are to hand reg [one word gibberish].com instead of spending a good portion of the initial budget on [short dictionary one word].com.

In any event, Less.com is an awesome domain.
