I'm selling www.LeafsAreTrash.com which is a site following the plight of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The site is a blog based on WordPress and is incredibly easy to maintain and update.
Traffic Volume:
Site went up January 12th 2008, so to April 4th is 2.8 months.
According to Google Analytics:
3228 visits = 1152 visits/month
7474 pageviews = 2669 page views/month
According to Webalizer:
12412 visits = 4433 visits/month
26546 pages = 9480 pageviews/month
I find that through all my sites, Analytics tends to underestimate traffic and Webalizer tends to overestimate traffic. The exact number is likely somewhere in between, but to be safe I'd recommend assuming the conservative numbers.
Traffic Sources
All Traffic is organically driven, not paid for.
According to analytics the breakdown of traffic over the life of the site is:
62.9 % referring sites
19.6 % direct traffic
17.6 % search engines
However, this is due to almost no search traffic in the first month, and search traffic has increased significantly. For the months of March and February Search Traffic accounted for 25% of visits, an siginificant increase for only a month.
92% of traffic comes from Canada and the U.S. and 96% is from English speaking countries.
Content
All posts on the site are 100% original and written by me. There are currently 52 posts and 109 user comments (all legitemate, no spam). The content has a pretty good following, including multiple readers writing in and offering to guest-write. Users have also submitted content in the form of a photoshop contest that never reached potential but the entries can still be used as posts on the main blog.
The content generation for this site is easy as pie. The Toronto Maple Leafs have a massive following and news on them never stops, even in the offseason. Every time someone affiliated with the team sneezes, it's in the paper and people are dying to read about it. The new owner of this site would not have a hard time finding topics to write about simply by going to TorontoStar.com and looking up the days news. Likewise, there are tons of news sources that the new owner could use automatic feeds.
Consider revenue to be nil. There are adsense units on the site but I've never tried to optimize them and I just sort of slapped them up there after the traffic had built up. With some proper optimization and tweaking the site could definitely be an earner.
Offer Information
I am looking to sell this site as I am taking on a couple other projects and would prefer the time and money to work on them.
I'm looking for offers on this site from$250 $75
Buyer will get everything, the domain name, the theme/graphics and the database.
