Layout Tables & Cells - Dreamweaver Question

Hello all,

i am a new member in the forum. I have probably a very simple question to most of the people here but I am really new in webdesigning

When I save a web page from IE or Mozilla in my computer and I try to open it with Dreamweaver, I've noticed I cannot draw any layout table or layout Cell in the page. I work on Layout mode and I was trying to learn how to use the cells and tables.
When I draw a page from the scratch I understand the basic concepts. I can easily draw a cell in a layout table for example. I still dont understand why when I save a web page someone else has designed I cannot make any modification at all.

try to use the standerd mode. or maybe it has something locked/disabled somewhere. It works fine for me when i try it.

Well if you read the source code you might find that in some places it will say something like "Begin instance editable" or something. If it has these comments in the code just remove them and it may work. All html comments should appear in a green colour.
