Yesterdays big news was that Kraft & Heinz were merging! I had mentioned the new domain registrations for the new company and there is some mystery as to how an individual was able to register KraftHeinz.com and HeinzKraft.com prior to the company registering them! That just likely created a bit of a headache for the new company.. but they will get them legally or spend a little money!

The official new company name is: The Kraft Heinz Company

New Domains Registered

• Kraft-Heinz.com
• TheKraftHeinz.com

Total Domains

• Kraft 1,813
• Heinz 899

Clearly the “brand name” domains hold a lot of value to both companies but they also own some generic domain names.

Both terms are trademarked and would be hard to register one without showing bad faith. There will certainly be cybersquatters..we'll just have to see if The Kraft Heinz Company actually lays down the hammer.
