- COM/NET/ORG/INFO/BIZ/CN/EU - All Taken
- Easily Pronounceable IMO
- Results 1 - 10 of about 2,440,000 for kniv
- Real Word (not sure about the appeal)
- PR3
- Alexa 22M
- Word Tracker 6

I put this somewhere Mid $XXX at least. More to an interested end user.
I would be in no rush to sell this at reseller pricing. It will eventually find an end user based on the Word itself, or being pronounceable.

I think it has brandability. over 2 million Google and it is a swedish name for
Knife, Cutter, Razor. In the Swedish market it could have unlimited uses for anything relating to the 3 definitions.

At Least $x,xxx

Thanks, rep added. Any idea how to market this domain to a Swedish, Danish, or Norwegian audience?

Here is a list of key words from SEO

knives knives out
kniv knives for sale
knives.com kniv teknik
knives plus knives of alaska
knives out lyrics knives uk
knives and swords knive

I would post an ad in a Swedish paper (cheap) just advert your url.
Or go to any online forums and post some blogs on your site.
The more you promote the more you will build a solid name to endusers.

It has obvious uses and values beyond being an LLLL. I think a safe price for reseller would be in the 300 - 600 range, the top range being for a very optimistic reseller.
For end users it's a hard call, since it's mainly a foreign word and, though dot.com is king, in many foreign places their idn is equally strong for their local use. But if they MUST have the dot.com, I'll take a reach and say this name might get into the 1 - 2K range average, 2 - 4K range for a very motivated buyer who wants it to sell product/service through. I think that's very optimistic but also realistic due to the possible uses of the name, the fact that it refers to a generic and common item in another language.

You mentioned that "some other extensions are being used commercially". I can only find that the .info is redirected to a commercial site.

The word 'kniv' is in singular, so my guess is that the domain 'knivar' (plural) would have been a better choice. Not that your domain is bad, but for a commercial site I believe that the plural version would be more desirable.

When it comes to pricing I'm not really sure. The .se is mostly used on the Swedish market, but perhaps the .com will start to increase in price further on. It's hard to compare with sales of German or Spanish domain names because of the difference in native speakers:

German: 100 million
Spanish: 320-400 million
Swedish: 9 million
Danish: 6 million
Norwegian: 5 million

Good luck with your domain. I hope you find an interested end-user :$:

I think you can put in mid $xxxx and then let them counter.

kniv.no is redirected to one man who make knifes.
kniv.se is also redirected, but its not big companies that have this cctld.

Good luck.

High, low, or mid $X,XXX ? I have two potential end-users that I need to give a price to today.
Depends on how big the companies are. Make a little research about the companies and I'm sure you'll get a more clear picture of how much they could afford to pay for the domain.

I would start with $4K for this domain

However, for my benefit could you give me a little insight into how you came up with your appraisal because...
Hurley hits his keyboard and words come out. :D

Not just a nice 4L, but a great 4L. If owned it I wouldn't let it go for any less than 10 times Hurley's valuation.

It would possibly help to know what knife laws in Denmark, Norway and Sweden to help you market it. In the UK knife laws are becoming more strict. There is talk of (if it doesn't already exist) a law allowing anyone carrying a knife to face jailtime.
