A search on Keyworddiscovery.com revealed a two word phrase that was estimated at 10,000 hits. At what point is it worth buying the .info domain strickly for parking? Does anyone have any experience with parking .info's?

Thanks

10,000 "hits" means the phrase was searched for 10,000 times in the last 12 months (27 searches per day). A type-ins usually gets between 10-15% of that (3 or 4 hits per day).

A .info will get hardly any type-ins, you'll be lucky if it gets 3 or 4 visitors a week. But as .infos are really cheap ($1.99) you only need to make $0.005 a day for a year to break-even, so if the phrase contains high paying keywords then it may be worth registering it.

Thanks, I thought is was 10,000 a month!!

So what you say would be a minimum amount of searches a year to make a .info worth it? Is 10,000 a year worth the $1.99? I know nothing is written in stone but if you were to give an educated guess...20,000?

There's no point guessing the numbers. Just taste the domain and see if it receives enough clicks (if any), if not delete it. (You can taste domains for a full credit refund at dynadot.com). If my maths is correct you only need one $0.03 click every six days to break-even.

Also, if the domain can be monetized using higher paying keywords (e.g. car loans) then you need fewer clicks to break-even (4 clicks a year @ $0.50).
