I would have spent that money buying a decent mobi name from the forum or a LLL.mobi off of someone else instead.

Hi Frank, I just wanted to say I love your dotMobi enthusiasm
and toughness. You seem to recognize that this new dotmobi era is a special, urgent, and exciting time.

Remember no baseball player can bat 1000.. so even if just one of your eight dot mobis becomes notable you can find success. That's what happened when I started regging in January 1999, only some last; that it how it works. Got to reg as much as you can afford (while dot Mobi is new) to discover more often later what is actually turns out to be a gem. Some you know are gems already of course. I like your prefix/keyword but maybe the suffix needs to be more viable. But who knows, maybe names with "site" like sportssite.mobi might be nice in the future. Big keywords is key, don't go for the little fish unless perhaps you love the name and are drafting according to what you want to do in life.

Remember opportunity cost - a name you skip on can be used to register a better name later. Don't hurry too much, do you use a list? On my list I put all the names I think to reg and think about them during the days. The ones I feel are going to be registered soon by someone else I put at the top of the list. That way, other ones, like brandables, I can register later still as they might not be taken as soon - once I get more money in. A list puts names side by side to compare one another.

I would emphasize try thinking viability, potential site development for you or someone else makes the property more attractive. Do you have a PDA? What do you see yourself doing or want to do on it.. then, what do you think are going to be the trends.. notice how the browsing experience is different. .mobi is a different class than dot com.

Enjoy this moment because soon names will be harder to come by.. love the spirit!



(By the way, thanks for the tips on the China domains perspectives earlier, 1.3 billion people is hot, that is a strength, maybe somehow you have insights into East + West market that most of us do not realize, use your strengths for niches still available =)
