Just Bought...

Just bought a Medion USB 9"x12" Graphics Tablet and Wireless Mouse from the local Aldi's store for $39.99.. It's so much more sensitive than I'm used to that it's taking some getting used to but the tablet should come in handy for graphics.. anyone else own one? These used to sell on eBay around $100 so it's a buy!

Tablets (to me) take some getting used to.. they have to be oriented in relation to the monitor screen otherwise you tend to move the cursor in the wrong direction.. I got it mainly to learn to use the Pen for graphics. I came with the usual ArcSoft Photo Impression and Ulead PhotoImpact 5 SE (both of which I already had). This is my first tablet so.. not used to it yet.

Perhaps if you would slow down and actually try to participate in the community, your spelling and spacing would improve. You've made 8 meaningless one-liner posts in 5 minutes. I wasn't even looking for them, but it's pretty obvious when the whole top of the breakroom is suddenly flooded with your name.

I realize people are anxious to earn NP$, but this needs to stop. Don't be surprised if you come to the forum one day to find many of your posts and NP$ have disappeared. The same goes for anybody else doing it.

oh and db, you guys should consider removing the post/NP$ increment here in the break room (meaning that posting in this part of the forum will not add 1NP$ to the total NP balance of the user, nor add to the total post count).

That will stop the newbies from flooding the forum with nonsense and pointless posts.

I had a wacom one about 9 months back, used it (or tried to) for 25 days..lol couldn't get used to it so took it back and got a refund, but would like to get one again..any tips on using one?

what exactly do you mean when you say "tips on using one"? I use the Wacom board mostly when doing gfx work in Photoshop or other gfx programs like 3dsmax or Maya. When cruising the web I stick to my good ol Logitech MX510 mouse

Very cool! I have been using a Wacom for 5 years now, and it rules. Didn't know btw that there's 'Aldi's' in the US? I thought they only were in Holland, Belgium and Germany. But their site shows they're in many other countries as well, incl. the US.

Cutting off NP$ for lounge posts will just cause these people to spam the other forums.

I had a wacom tablet (stolen along with my laptop a while ago), and now I've got a genius tablet with wireless mouse. They're great for free hand drawing, specially with illustrator and flash. Yes, it takes a while to get used to it but once you've got the hold of it, you will work a lot faster. I'd recomend using it with flash (Tip: activate the pressure support).

They won't if they lets say end up loosing all their NP's. Join the discussion over in the "Namepros info and suggestion" section..

pretty good deal....tablet's cost much more here. i was looking for cheap ones but i guess they're not available from where i am.
