This whole "i" thing is getting out of hand is what I think.

For the record, iAirlines is better than iCredits.

Yes it might if the "i" was only registered because Samsung Electronics was aggressively registering some.

However, I think it would foolish not to register a few well thought out "i" prefixed domains. The "i" thing goes back a ways if you research various TM & SM. I do not think crap would have a TM or SM. :|
It's a solid prefix making a good term from most any short word.

Also, I did not register iGeo.mobi or iGeo.TV because of the Samsung "i" craze.
It is a solid term already in use for various GEO services.

Check it out for yourself: Results 1 - 100 of about 190,000 for "igeo"
.

I'm not a big fan of the "i" (or "e") prefix ... whether .MOBI, .COM, or .ANYTHING undeveloped, IMHO.
Generally speaking ...

Best of Luck.

Jeff,
If you post is directed toward myself please understand I am developing iGeo.
It is not for sale and I'll be playing around with it as an interesting challenge.
I think it's a great domain because I am the end user.
It's my baby and not a piece of amateurish domainer crap. :imho:

Personally I am tired of the domainer worries and can't wait to be rid of the other domains I bought. I'll leave the domain business to you and good luck with it. However it's been fun to visit this field of business.

Relax, please ... my comment above was very general in nature, and just because it followed yours sequentially here in the thread, does not mean it was directed toward you in either form or fashion.
Truly.

Be well, stay cool, and enjoy the New Year!

Hi Tim,

I guess iMonitize is a worthless name and someone better break the news to those poor folks. lol

Some like the 'i' some like the 'e' some like the 'v' and 'e-' .. heck some like com and net as prefixes. Its all a matter of personal preference.
I honestly and sincerely don't think Jim was talking to you , Don :)

BTW, good point with imonetize.. and there are several other 'i' names that have worked out well. I think it is all in the branding and markeing.

Some like ice tea some like hot tea. Does not mean either is better than the other :)

Hi Mejcdj,

It is indeed all in the branding and marketing. Anything goes with the end user and that is truly magical. I bet back in 1997 if you saw the word "Google" your next thought would be "what the heck is that?"

However if I was a pro domainer I would sure go for the guaranteed best like LLL or short keywords. I don't have any ill against the pro's rules for safe domain investment returns because they are pros and I'm just a Dude who happen into a few Mobi domains.

Personally I see the .TV domain as the up-n-comming hit. I am so happy to have regged the iGeo.TV and that will be the only .TV domain I'll buy.
