But its a German extension. So it would be "Donnerstag", not Thursday or Thurs.

I like the creativity (a lot). And novetarily speaking, the domain as well. Though not sure you'll have many end-users thinking of the domain on their own and finding you through direct nav. If you find a company branded as Thursday, you might be able to sell them on the URL shortener aspect. Might even have a fun punt with the owners of Thursday.com (which has an interesting landing page: "Enter store using password ____")
