I own alot of aweswome .Jps IMO It's renewal time. I think its deff. worth it to renew, but I'd like to here others opinions who own these pricey domains. Are you renewing yours? Thanks for the imput.

I have 3 which I have recently renewed, but the renewal price: $75 for the first, followed by $60 for the subsequent names (same as original registration costs without the $5 coupon code from jp-domains.com), caused me to seriously review whether to renew or not each of them one by one, so I would recommend you do the same. I doubt if one should normally have say more than 5 .jp names in an individual portfolio eg, looking at your signature I would keep cheaphotels.jp, drop musicdownloads.jp and wobble over onlinedating.jp.

Yep, renewal time for my .JP names as well.

I'm dumping all my .JP names except for 2: I'm keeping primerate.jp and cellular.jp--these are the only 2 names that I can use for development. I'm no longer speculating in the .JP namespace. Traffic and interest aren't what I thought it would be, and the renewals are just too expensive (Of course, there is still hope for the namespace, with sales like hotels.jp.) Dropping some ultra-premiums names; I'll be posting a list @ The Domain Blog later today.

FYI #1: u need to renew your domain names way before they expire, or else the .JP registry will put your names into redemption mode even though you still have time left on the registration. This gave me problems last year. Be careful. The dot-JP registry has some of the weirdest and annoying rules around.

FYI #2: If your names are @ GoDaddy, use coupon code gdh0103plc and you can save $20 per name.

oh, well I wouldnt buy one cause i am not from japan, and i think those greedy people who buy domains for the hell of it are stupid and should let the people in that country buy them.
